Why are Terms and Conditions important? They dictate the vendor/entity relationship and state the responsibilities of each party. They may be used to settle disputes or to protect the vendor as well as the entity. The General Terms and Conditions are boiler-plate and mandatory. Whereas, some Special Terms and Conditions are mandatory, others are optional and have a specific intent and function that may be used to minimize risk to the government entity and to the contractor. This session will share when and how to use particular Special Terms and Conditions to both protect and maximize the contract’s value to the entity.
