Education Topic: Leveraging Generational Differences – Negotiating Across the Generations
February’s meeting covers the topic of generational differences at work and within the business environment. This insightful and entertaining one hour presentation introduces audiences to the four generations of employees in today's workplace, provides demographics, breaks down how and why each generation thinks and how to best negotiate and communicate with each.
Core Competency - Financial & Contract Management
Speaker:
Tim Moore – International Keynote Speaker, expert on generational differences
Generational Insights
Timothy Moore is multi-generational relations expert and an accomplished author and speaker with over three decades of experience in marketing, sales, and training. He is the owner and principal of the sales consultancy “Dancing Elephants” Sales Training and is Editor of the on-line daily magazine Carolina Business Connection in North Carolina’s Research Triangle region.
Moore’s experience in sales and training spans over thirty years and numerous Fortune 500 companies, including PepsiCo, Gillette, Dow Chemical, and L’Oréal USA.
At Generational Insights, Moore is part of a team that has become the leading voice on the impact of generational differences on sales, marketing, and management. He combines the research of Generational Insight with his own professional experience, in addition to observations of client practices, to provide generational strategies and solutions for this rapidly changing world
After the session, attendees will:
-
Understand the different generations in America and why they think and act differently from one another
-
Have plenty of “take home value” content, even the words to use in specific scenarios
-
Think differently about how to best communicate with each different generation member you encounter each day in business.
*Please Note, you must be in your seat by 3:15 PM to receive contact hours
Culinary Silent Auction
It’s time for our annual culinary silent auction! The auction will take place on Wednesday, February 1st at our chapter meeting.
Please consider donating an item or two. The more items donated the bigger opportunity we have to raise money for the Old Dominion Chapter education and scholarships. A few ideas for items that have been donated in the past are: home baked items, store bought items, breads, wine, glasses, corkscrews, cookbooks, baskets that include an array of food and beverage with an overnight getaway, etc.
Remember to bring your cash, checkbooks and/or credit cards.
The silent auction form is attached. If you know what you will be donating, you can fill the form out and email it back to Michelle Hergenrother. Extra forms will be available to be filled out the day of the auction.
